They won’t be going anywhere soon.....But good job done putting the spotlight on them. I hope, maybe naively that we will see a difference. It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer if we stay up, hopefully there will be far more scrutiny on their every move and our dealings in the transfer market now.

Because the match is "their baby" - all fuck ups are down to them in the eyes of the authorities (FA/PL). Absolutely nothing else matters.
A game behind closed doors would be an absolute rocket through their cash-flow; fans would moan then go and watch it down the pub/find a stream, but no footfall for one single game (this season) would hurt them more than relegation for the next; that's the way their mindset operates.
Sometimes you HAVE to lose a battle to win the war - you'd know that if you understood West Ham.

All your yapping "Don't do this, don't do that!" is as defeatist as any comment I've seen on this site since it's dot-com days, and before.
The board simply hide behind the "support the team" mantra and will keep doing what they've always done because nobody's actually getting the true message across to them.
They choose what they want to hear, and when. It's clear, however, they've not LISTENED to a single thing from their "customers" since "saving" the club - as if that's enough to forever dine out on.
They got fucking lucky with ONE player for ONE season and done sweet fuck all about reproducing either.

Ive got two season tickets sitting on my shelf , not used today and unlikely to be used again because after the burnley game it became apparent that the fanbase of this club is no longer special , we're as bad as every other club in the league , full of new age fans without a clue about our history and without clue as to what once made us different to other clubs.
Anyway roeder, well done , you and your kind have won because you're slowly driving the real fans away. Hope you enjoy your future years and all the shit that comes with it. You never know one day you might wake up and realise that it wasn't a few people that run onto the pitch that was problem it was those above.
